for the TYSA
Spring Soccer program is now open. To print a

Land of Waterfalls Senior Games will be
holding a drawing for a quilt created by local artist
Doris Raines. Tickets are $1.00 each and may be
purchased at the Parks & Recreation Department. All
proceeds will go to the local 2012 Senior Games. To

**Karen
Ferry will be hosting a
One
Stroke Painting Class on Saturday,
February 18 from 10am-1pm at the TAC. The fee is
$30 per person and includes all supplies. To
register, please call 884-3156.
**The
2011-12 Masters (35 & over) Basketball League
will begin on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Please
see below for a complete game schedule.
**Registration for
Spring
Youth Volleyball for girls in grades
4th-6th will begin on Monday, January 30, 2012 and
will extend through February 17. The
registration fee is $25 per player. To register,

Welcome to the Transylvania County Parks & Recreation Website!
Transylvania County, North Carolina is the home of endless recreational
opportunities. Over one-third of the county's 379 square miles is
comprised of National and State Forest land. The Blue Ridge
Parkway, the French Broad River and over 250 waterfalls are among
the most popular tourist destinations in the eastern United
States.
The
Transylvania County Parks and Recreation Department offers a number
of recreational opportunities to our 29,000 residents. The
department maintains and operates seven parks in the county and
offers numerous athletic, arts/leisure, and fitness programs
available to people of all ages.
